We began operations in 1952. In the early years, Cambridge manufactured tooling and components for various companies in the area including Fafnir Bearing, Stanley Works and New Britain Machine to name a few. Cambridge became very knowledgeable in manufacturing tooling and the support services to be successful in these areas of expertise.

Cambridge Specialty in the 1970’s obtain a vendor code to manufacture and produce Jet Engine Assembly and Ground Support Equipment for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. The company remained focus on these types of products into the 1980’s.

In the 1980's Cambridge Specialty started acquiring OEM 1st tier supplier codes. At this point Cambridge Specialty continued to diversify their capabilities offering production machining capabilities, as well as the original core competency of manufacturing complex tight tolerance Jet Engine Assembly/Disassembly and Ground Support Equipment.

Over the course of the 1980’s until now, Cambridge has diversified our manufacturing capabilities and has grown as a leader in the manufacturing of medium to complex aerospace components and assemblies for various OEM’s. This includes Flight Critical and Flight Safety Parts for the Rotorcraft, Fixed Wing and Jet Engine segments of the Aerospace Industry. We are and continue to be a top supplier for our OEM customer’s new product development programs, as well as their Legacy programs.
