History of Cambridge Specialty
Company, Inc.
Cambridge Specialty Co., Inc. began
operating in 1952. At that time, Cambridge was manufacturing
tool work for various area manufacturers includin g
Fafnir Bearing, Stanley Works, and New Britain Machine. The
business obtained a vendor number from Pratt & Whitney
Aircraft in East Hartford and began manufacturing service
tools.
In 1979, David E. Brayton
purchased Cambridge Specialty Co., Inc. from Robert Sirois,
the only remaining owner. Peter M. Campanelli was shop foreman
at the time.
In 1985, Peter M.
Campanelli became a partner in the business.
In 1997, the officers of
the company were named and remain as follows: David E.
Brayton……………….President Peter M. Campanelli……………Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary
In December 2005, David
Brayton retired from the company. Peter Campanelli, with 31
years of manufacturing experience at Cambridge, has taken over
the business as sole owner and President of the company.
