History of Cambridge Specialty Company, Inc.

Cambridge Specialty Co., Inc. began operating in 1952. At that time, Cambridge was manufacturing tool work for various area manufacturers including Fafnir Bearing, Stanley Works, and New Britain Machine. The business obtained a vendor number from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford and began manufacturing service tools.

In 1979, David E. Brayton purchased Cambridge Specialty Co., Inc. from Robert Sirois, the only remaining owner. Peter M. Campanelli was shop foreman at the time.

In 1985, Peter M. Campanelli became a partner in the business.

In 1997, the officers of the company were named and remain as follows:
David E. Brayton……………….President
Peter M. Campanelli……………Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary

In December 2005, David Brayton retired from the company. Peter Campanelli, with 31 years of manufacturing experience at Cambridge, has taken over the business as sole owner and President of the company.
